A 500 Mile Walk + A Spanish Elopement

This blog post is super near and dear to my heart because it's about my family! A lot of people know that my husband and I went to Europe for about a month this past May. A lot of people don't know it's because my mom was actually getting married there!

She has a super cool story, but the short version is that she decided to walk the Camino de Santiago, a 500+ mile trail that goes from France to Spain. On her trail, she carried her wedding dress with her (which she notoriously became famous for on the trail), and my family met her + her fiancé there at the end of her trail and witnessed them getting married!

They eloped in the small town of Denia, Spain. We stayed in an airbnb there and they got married on the property, right by the pool that overlooks the ocean. A fun fact is I actually made my mom's bouquet the day of- I always said if I wasn't a wedding photographer I'd be a florist so it was super fun to get to test that out ;)

We spent the rest of the day running on cliffsides, eating really good food + celebrating with champagne. The rest of the week we spent snorkeling + riding vespas around the town, and of course making a music video. It was such a fun several days and was fun for Cam and I to be with family after just being by ourselves for a few weeks!

This day was so special and so sweet. My mom + Mark's story is full of redemption and has been one of the sweetest things for me to watch unfold. Our family has grown yet again and now we're splitting time between Knoxville + Franklin, TN where they live!

Hope you enjoy the bright colors + very blue water of Spain.
